Where to Stay
Guests to Cecilia and Dennis's wedding on Saturday August 9th at The Beardslee Homestead can choose from among many possible hotels, cabins, and Air B&B rental options in Central New York.

We recommend staying in New Berlin (Air B&Bs), Hamilton (hotels and inns), Cooperstown (hotels), or Norwich (hotels or Air B&B homes). All are convenient to Sherburne and New Berlin.

St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church is located in Sherburne, and The Beardslee Homestead is located in New Berlin, NY. Hamilton, NY is 15 minutes to Sherburne and 25 minutes to New Berlin. Cooperstown, NY is 45 minutes to Sherburne and 25 minutes to New Berlin. Sherburne and New Berlin are 15-20 minutes apart. All car rides between these towns are beautiful through the rolling hills of Central New York. Make a long weekend--there are many sites in the area. In addition to the suggestions below, you may search Air B&B for residences to rent around New Berlin. There are some lovely homes and cabins for rent in New Berlin, Silver Lake, Hamilton, Edmeston, Chenango Lake, Cooperstown and more. For some adventurous guests who like "roughing it," we have about three 8-person Yurts and five 3-person tents that can be set up along the river. Or, if you bring a sleeping bag, are more than welcome to sleep anywhere on the beautiful property--along the river, in the Hop House, or in Lakers Lodge, though keep in mind that only a cold shower will be available!

The Hotel One 75 is also located in Hamilton, NY, just 15 minutes to St. Malachy's in Sherburne and 25 minutes to The Beardslee Homestead. A block of 20 rooms has been reserved for the wedding. More blocks can be reserved when one block is full until the entire hotel has no more vacancy.

Rosa Mystica is a beautiful place of Catholic pilgrimage in Edmeston, NY, just minutes to The Beardslee Homestead and 25 minutes to Sherburne, NY. It is a good place to stay if you would like to stay in a log cabin. Rosa Mystica has 14 guest cabins that can sleep 3 to 4. Price is $175 per night plus $35 cleaning fee. St. Joseph House, Rosa Mystica, Edmeston
The St. Joseph House at Rosa Mystica (see above) is ideal for a large family or group of families coming from a far distance. It has sleeping accommodations for 18 people in multiple bedrooms and full kitchen and three full bathroom facilities. The price is $850 per night for all 18 people, or about $50 per night per single guest. This option is good for single guests to the wedding. A one time cleaning fee of $150 (also divided by 18) applies. It is just 15 minutes to The Beardslee Homestead.
