Magical, magnificent, spectacular, perfect. These are only some of the words used by guests to describe Mary and Aidan's wedding on August 5, 2023.
After a Nuptial Mass featuring beautiful sacred chant, polyphony, organ, and trumpet at St. Malachy's Roman Catholic Church in nearby Sherburne, The Beardslee Homestead was the perfect setting for the celebration, with a three-hour cocktail reception in the hops field surrounded by rolling hills; followed by five hours of dinner and dancing in the horse barn adorned with black walnut wood, lights, and crystal; and capped by a fireworks, brick-oven pizza, and home-made limoncello after-party in the pizzeria.
Attentive and meticulous, not to mention delicious, catering par-excellence was provided by Michael's Fine Foods & Spirits of Waterville, NY and terrific music was provided by Allegro Entertainment of Rochester. Special guest singers Tom Golden and Jeff Keller (who played the Phantom in Phantom of the Opera on Broadway) sang for Mary and Aidan.

Throughout the afternoon and evening guests explored the Unadilla River Walk, the Apiary, the Blacksmith Shop, the Library and Map Room, the Astronomical Observatory, the Chicken Coop, the Hops Museum, or had fun playing lawn games like badminton, giant Jenga, wiffle ball, disk golf, horseshoes, and so much more. Then the dinner and dancing and fun began. For more, watch the videos at the bottom of this page.
"One enchanted evening."
Rain or shine, this day was perfect! So many beautiful scenic photos to take all around the magnificent property. Delicious food was prepared by Michael's Hospitality from the Hamilton Inn. Food stations work perfectly in this space, and the chefs cook the food right in front of you! Not to mention they use the herbs from Beardslee's gardens. Talk about farm-to-table! LaGoy Farm provided gorgeous florals, full of life and whimsy. Our friend Jennifer Dooley, proprietor of JenzLenz of Port Chester, NY, took fantastic photos. And the bar was stocked with Italian-style liqueurs made exclusively at The Beardslee Homestead!

The overcast weather made for stunning shots in the vineyard and at the pergola on the river walk. There is so much to do at The Beardslee Homestead. Even though it rained, it truly was one enchanting evening!
